Winter Wonderlights 2026

Winter Wonderlights transforms Sovereign Hill into a sparkling Christmas in July celebration. Enjoy falling snow on Main Street, dazzling light shows and festive winter activities that fill the entire township with magic. It’s one of our most popular events and runs from late June to mid-July.

At Sovereign Hill, a dynamic live cooking demonstration unfolds on stage, where a chef in a plaid shirt and apron prepares a dish amid an abundant display of fresh produce, including carrots, broccoli, pumpkins, and leafy greens, arranged in wooden crates and woven baskets. A host in a black dress observes with a clipboard, while a screen projects the action, capturing the interactive and immersive culinary experience that brings heritage-inspired cooking to life at Sovereign Hill.

Outside of school holiday periods and public holidays we are open to the general public 6 days a week, Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. We want to make your visit unforgettable. From the moment you arrive until the time you reluctantly leave, we’ve got you covered with all you need to make the most of your time.
