A new V/Line train initiative – the Goldrush Special now delivers visitors directly to Sovereign Hill’s front door.

As part of the Goldrush Special a courtesy return service coach meets the train at Ballarat station and brings visitors directly to Sovereign Hill. After four and a half hours in our award winning attraction, the coach returns to Sovereign Hill to take visitors back to the railway station for their journey home. It’s that easy.

To make the trip even more affordable, people who travel aboard the Goldrush Special and show their valid V/Line tickets on arrival at Sovereign Hill, receive a 10% discount off the entrance price as well as a free ‘Cobb & Co’ coach ride. (no other discounts apply).

Customers can purchase V/Line tickets from V/Line stations, premium metropolitan stations, V/Line agents, or by calling V/Line on 136 196.

Please note: The Goldrush Special transfer is not suitable for group travel.
