Red Hill Gully Diggings
This is number 1 on your map. In the early 1850's diggers panned and cradled for gold in the alluvial sands and gravels around creeks and rivers. The creek here at Sovereign Hill contains real gold and has been constructed to show both early types of mining. Goldpans and cradles are scattered along the creek - come and try your luck!
